Orchard Development Company and the Pecan Plantation Owners Association (PPOA) have agreed to cap the total number of homes built to 4500. There are about 2500 homes in the community today and about 700 lots. There is room to grow as the development company holds a total of 4200 acres.

Okay, it’s going to take some time to tell you about all the amenities in Pecan Plantation. It begins with the Pecan Plantation Country Club. There’s golf, swimming, archery, horse stables, a fitness club, archery, walking trails, tennis, and a park. Oh, wait, there’s more – an airpark where you can glide into the community by plane. There’s so much to do in Pecan Plantation you may never step foot out of the neighborhood. (Well, you’re probably going to have to go to work.)
Guest Facilities
The Pecan Plantation Country Club offers catering and can host events up to 300 people. (250 people if you want a dance floor.) Guests can stay at The Inn.
Schools
Children living in Pecan Plantation will attend schools within the Granbury Independent School District (GISD).
STEAM Academy at Mambrino (Elementary School)
The STEAM Academy at Mambrino school is for students from pre-K to grade eight. GreatSchools gives Mambrino’s test scores 7 out of 10. Reading and math are above the Texas state average.
Acton Middle School
Action Middle School is for grades sixth through eighth. GreatSchools rates their test scores as 7 out of 10. Science, Algebra I and English are well above the state average.
Granbury High School
Granbury High School is for grades nine through twelve. . GreatSchools reports that their graduation rate is 96% -- above the state average of 90%. English 2, Biology, and US History are well above the state average.
Private Schools
Lake Pointe Granbury specializes in students K-12 with neurodevelopmental learning differences, such as autism. . Cornerstone Christian Academy is for students K-12. They also have an early education program for children two- to five-years-old.

Uptown Arts is a local art gallery. Need a cake, bottle of wine, or some fresh meat and produce for dinner? Pecan Foods is right in the neighborhood.
Restaurants
You have to order pizza at Pecan Village Bistro just because it’s so fun to say the names on their menu, like Popeye Spinach Alfredo pie. Or choose between Village Idiot pie or Lite Village Idiot pie. They also have subs, salad, and homemade desserts. Check out the whole menu.
Activities
The city of Granbury has many parks, including a dog park. The Moments-In-Time hike and bike trail is a nearly three mile, eight-foot wide trail that runs from Granbury Airport to Hewlett Park. There are parking lots and, in case nature calls, restrooms along the route. The Pecan Plantation community has several clubs and groups, like the Pecan Art Guild.
