The houses are mighty big here in Carillon. They’re also expensive. According to Neighborhoods.com, the median sales price is $1,022,500. Single family homes range from 3,047 square feet to 6,616 square feet. Although we found a listing with an even larger home. A stunning 16,477 square foot mansion at the bargain asking price of under $12 million. If you prefer something smaller, this 1565 square foot condo is beautiful, low-maintenance, and costs a lot less than $12 mil.
Amenities
The amenities of Carillon are more than just a sparkling pool and a sports court. The community provides you the experience of breathtaking beauty. You can relax in a shaded lounge area with the view of one of two lakes. Walk through a forest of century-old oak trees in The Preserve. The Oasis at Carillon has a private swim pavilion and lush gardens.

Schools
GreatSchools.com rates all of the schools in the 76092-zip code 10 out of 10. Carillon schools are part of the Carroll Independent Schools District (CISD).
Old Union Elementary School
Old Union Elementary School exceeds in nearly every way. Math proficiency among all students is 93% compared to the Texas state average of 47%. Reading is 92% compared to the state average of 44%. Writing proficiency is 88% compared to the state average of 38%. It helps that the teacher to student ratio is 2% lower at Old Union Elementary. And, 100% of their teachers have at least three years' experience.
Carroll Middle School
Seventh and eighth graders at Carroll Middle School also have high achievement scores. In addition to high marks in math, reading, and writing, Carroll Middle School students excel in Algebra (considered an advanced course). More students take Algebra (38% compared to 25% statewide) and 96% pass the class.
Carroll Senior High
All of Carroll Senior High students graduate. Their average SAT scores are much higher than the state average – 1261 versus 1019. Gifted and talented students can attend many advanced placement (AP) courses including AP Biology and AP GT Physics.
Private Schools
Fusion Academy offers a unique educational experience for grades 6-12. The Goddard School of Southlake offers educational daycare for infants through elementary-aged children and private kindergarten programs.
Active Lifestyle
Southlake is located smack in the middle of Dallas and Fort Worth – less than 30 minutes to each. But there’s so much beauty to see and things to experience close to home.
Shopping
Southlake Town Square mall is a short drive from Carillon. Get your nails done, catch a movie, stop for lunch, and pick up some two-buck Chuck wine at Trader Joe’s (we won’t tell). The Shops of Southlake has a Central Market and several stores, including Jordan Taylor & Company (lovely furniture).
Restaurants
We get that Carillon is a fancy place for fancy people. But sometimes you just gotta have a down-home burger. Five Guys in Southlake Town Square is the place to go. Enjoy an array of “Mamma’s” Italian meals at Ferrari’s Italian Villa and Chop House. Here’s a list of great area restaurants from Tripadvisor.
Activities
Normally we wouldn’t recommend a place with a name like “Widowmaker.” But we make an exception with Widowmaker Trail Rides. You must be at least 12-years-old to enjoy these horseback trails located near Lake Grapevine. There are also several community, town square, and neighborhood parks for the whole family to enjoy.
For the Kids
Kids will enjoy the many community events like the annual Sweetheart Dance and Youth Fishing Day. The Bob Jones Nature Center has nature programs and a day camp.
New Builders
Toll Brothers still has a few luxury homes available in its Southlake Meadows community. Lennar is also closing out, but there are still homes available in the Winding Creek community. Contact Cities Real Estate and we will arrange a private tour for you with the home builder.
Apartment Homes
You can rent a home in Carillon. Nearby Grapevine has some nice apartment communities. If you’re not ready to commit to a Carillon home, renting is always an option while you get to know the area.
The Enclave at Grapevine has one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes. They offer a rare 3-bed, 3-bath home with an attached 1-car garage. Amenities include a 24-hour fitness center and dog park. If you prefer downtown-style living, the Grapevine Station apartments are for you. They have a variety of one- and two-bedroom floorplans, including a 1-bed, 1-bath with an office. Amenities include a community clubhouse and state-of-the-art fitness center. Detached garages are also available.
The Beaty of Carillon
There is no doubt that Carillon is a beautiful place to live. But it’s also a great place to raise your children. The schools and low crime rate are worth paying extra for. There’s plenty of shopping, dining, and local activities for everyone. If you can’t decide between heading to downtown Dallas or downtown Fort Worth, both cities are less than 30 minutes away.
